Walk from Utrecht central station
- In the central hall walk to the stairs to platform 1 (don’t go to the platform but stay in the central hall!).
- Keep left and enter the indoor shopping center.
- Follow signs to Albert Heijn (AH).
- Albert Heijn is a large supermarket at an indoor square. At this square you will also find a good Chinese restaurant: Tai Soon. Leave the square via the revolving door next to this restaurant.
- Go downstairs via the escalator and then go left.
- Cross the wide street called ‘Catharijnesingel’.
- Walk straight on, following the street called ‘Mariaplaats’.
- You will reach a square where you can drink a coffee or have a lunch. Go to the right and then immediatly to the left: you will enter ‘Zadelstraat’ with many nice little shops.
- At the end of the ‘Zadelstraat’ stands the 100 meter high Dom tower.
- Walk towards the Dom tower. Just before you reach this tower you will cross a canal called ‘Oudegracht’. At Oudegracht you can go left or right:
- Left for many nice restaurants and shops.
- Right: after 30 minutes walking you will reach Centraal Museum and Miffy Museum (Nijntje Museum).

Leidsche Rijn
- Máxima Park: great for walking, skating or biking on an oval lane of 8 kilometer length. It also has many paths, green fields, a Japanese garden, a restaurant, many bridges over various canals and a manual ferry.
Archeologie Park, Leidsche Rijn, Utrecht. - Archeologie Park: smaller park with a swing on a hill, providing a great view over the neighbourhood.
Castellum Hoge Woerd - Castellum De Hoge Woerd: Visiting-center on the exact location of a 2000 year old Roman fort. A roman ship is exhibited here. It is located in Máxima Park.
